The Mendocino Art Center hosts its in second Mendocino Open Paint Out from September 8-13, 2014. The plein air festival includes five days of painting, daily demonstrations, presentations, lunches, and wet paint sales each day in the Art Center's galleries.
The festival ends on Saturday, September 13, with a Quick Draw competition and sale, followed by a celebratory reception and awards presentation. Artists from throughout California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Hampshire, New Mexico and Pennsylvania will be participating, as well as most members of the North Coast Plein Air association, which include Maeve Croghan, Teresa DiMeola, Jon Hewitt, Gary Huber, Dale Laitinen, Suzi Marquess Long, and Dale E. Moyer. Altogether they are a very talented group of artists working in various mediums. The events are free and open to the public, including watching the artists paint.
