"I've always been interested in patterns and our intersection and interaction with the natural world. Many of the patterns I use are geometric, but my human touch makes them warm and relatable. You can see where my concentration faltered just for a second and I lost a general direction in the pattern, however order remains unmistakably present.
I feel a connection between this method of decoration and the natural environmental effect on different organisms—if we look closely enough, we can see the intricacies of our individual environments and how they diversify us. However, once we pull back general patterns take shape creating harmony, unity, and an important and indispensable sense of togetherness."

Artist Statement:
Raised in New Jersey and having attended college in Vermont, I now find myself settled on the coast of Northern California in the village of Mendocino. I love making objects for everyday life and thought, and find both tactile and abstract inspiration among the life that blankets our coast and forest and the workings of our small town.
