Artist Statement:
"The quality of light as the stars fade in the predawn sky, or the brilliant reflection of the setting sun over water are early remembrances from my childhood. I have always been a visual person and experience awe and reverence at the ever changing beauty of light. As a young man, I took most of my photos in black and white, processing and printing in bathrooms and closets. Photographing friends, nature, the diversions and wanderings of young adulthood were among my most favored pastimes. Numerous trips and periods of living in rural New York gave me an abiding love for country life, providing the impetus to relocate from Southern California to Mendocino County twenty five years ago.
After more than two decades of casual photography (mostly family), my love for the medium re-emerged calling me to action. I am very fortunate to be at a place in life where I can pursue my chosen art form and share my work with you."
